Shoot the following types of shots. Record 10+ seconds of each shot. Get your shot set and no zooming. You need to arrange your own scene. Keep in mind the "Tips to shooting better video" notes we took.
1. Over the shoulder - incorporate some
kind of action. For example: two people talking, someone reading a
book, etc.
2. Standing in front of a window - mid shot, one person, no talking
3. Wide shot of two people shaking hands
4. Mid shot of two people standing and making funny faces at the camera
5. Close up of one person standing, following the rule of 1/3's, opening
and closing eyes
6. Extreme close up of one person
7. Shoot down at group playing rocks-papers-scissors. Need to see
the from head to toe of people with some floor around them.
8. Shoot up at some one walking down stairs, wide shot. Get camera
as low to the ground as possible. Camera will
need to pan, tilt.
9. Reflection - wide or mid shot. One person stand in front of
mirror (no extra people in the reflection). Shoot the reflection (6-7 seconds),
then zoom out to see both the reflection of the person in the mirror and the person.
Camera will zoom.
10. Wide shot of two people walking - shoot from the side. Camera at
half way point. Camera will pan.
11. Wide shot of one person "stumbling" over a line - shoot from
the side. Do
not fall to the floor. Walk normal for 2-3 seconds - stumble - walk normal
for 2-3 seconds. Camera will NOT pan.
12. Use the GoPro camera. Use the harness with the camera. Stand in
the middle of the gym. Walk around the gym and chase the people in your
group.
13. Each person in the group does this shot individually. Position the camera away from a
clock. The camera should be in a "zoom out" position. Start the
recording and then say your name. Start to pan towards the clock and zoom
in until you have the clock and only the clock in your shot. Hold that
shot for 5 seconds. Stop the recording. Camera will pan, tilt, zoom.
This shot may take more than 10 seconds.
14. Mid shot of two people walking. Camera on the dolly.
Camera/Dolly MOVE as the people walk.
