Introduction Every day of our lives, we encounter a variety of different shapes.  Let's explore some of the most common shapes we see.
Circle 1 The shape you see in front of you is a circle.  A circle has a round edge and can roll very very fast.
Circle 2 Circles have curved lines and form a round type object.
Square 1 This shape is called a square.  A square has four sides.  Squares can be used to stack on top of each other.
Square 2 Squares are an object that have 4 sides of equal length.
Heart 1 The heart shape that you see here is popular during Valentine's Day.  You will notice that the heart shape has a point at the bottom.
Heart 2 The heart shape is a symbol of love.  Breaking someone's heart can cause them much pain and sorrow.
Triangle 1 A three sided shape is called a triangle. Along with the three sides, a triangle also has three points.
Triangle 2 A triangle is any object that has 3 sides.  Math teachers like triangles.
