Project Guidelines
These guidelines apply to ALL projects in the multimedia class.
Before a camera can be checked out, you must have a storyboard or script completed. Know what shots you will need ahead of time.
All projects must be completed using school-appropriate shots, ideas, music and other components. If you have to ask, it is most likely not appropriate. I trust your good judgment. Any questionable material, MUST be cleared and approved ahead of time, no exceptions. Don't wait for a project to be rejected because of a bad decision on your part.
Always over plan. If it can go wrong it will. Always try to have your assignment completed a day early to accommodate last minute changes, etc.
You can never shoot too much video. It is better to have too much video then to have to go back and shoot more video.
Always use a variety of camera shots. This makes for a more interesting video.
Use very little zooming and panning if at all. Get your shot set and then leave the zoom and pan alone.
Use a TRiPOD. Keep the camera steady, no earthquake shots.
If you leave the building you MUST check out through the office. You must also check back in when finished. If the office says "no" to going outside than the answer is "no". This is not a debatable issue.
Do not create a problem in the hallway.
Do not shoot through a window into a classroom.
Cameras don't go into bathrooms or locker rooms.
Just good judgment at all times. If in doubt, don't do it. Better safe than sorry.
If you do go outside, stay out of your cars.
You must be back in the classroom 5 minutes before the end of the class period.
You or someone in your group must have your planner signed by your teacher before leaving the classroom with the camera.
Remember the camera number that you used so that you can have it back again to continue shooting.
