Class Roster - Version 3

1.  Open YOUR Class Roster File 
2.  Right Click the Version 1 tab and select Move/Copy.  Copy the Spreadsheet to a new tab.  Put a check mark in front of Create A Copy.
3.  Rename the the tab to Version 3.

Male Side of the Spreadsheet
4.  You need a blank row(s) under the Male side of your class.
5.  You need a row that says Period 1 or Period 2
6.  Open
PERIOD 1:  OPEN THE FILE "CLASSNAMESP1" from the Shared Drive - Versteeg - Computer App folder.  Click on the tab for period 2 info.
PERIOD 2:  OPEN THE FILE "CLASSNAMESP2" from the Shared Drive - Versteeg - Computer App folder.  Click on the tab for period 1 info.

7.  ON YOUR SPREADSHEET, ADD BLANK ROWS TO YOUR SPREADSHEET BEFORE PASTING THE INFORMATION.  You don't want to erase any information that you currently have on the spreadsheet.  Copy the Male information:  Last Name, First Name, and Birthdates and place in your document under Period 1 or Period 2 row.  REMINDER:  ADD BLANK ROWS TO YOUR SPREADSHEET BEFORE PASTING THE INFORMATION.  You don't want to erase any information that you currently have on the spreadsheet. 
8.  Find the row with the formula for Number of Students and enter a formula for the number of new male students in the other class period.  (Column C)
9.  Add a formula for the Average Age for just the new male students in the other class.   (Column C)
10.  Add a formula for Oldest Age for just the new male students in the other class.  (Column C)
11.  Add a formula for Youngest Age for just the new males students in the other class.  (Column C)
12.  Format these new numbers to match.
13.  Sort the new male student section the same way that you sorted the male students in your class.
14.  Add the same conditional formatting to the new male student section the same way that you did for the male students in your class.

Female Side of the Spreadsheet
15.  Repeat steps 4-14 for the female side of the spreadsheet.

Charts
16.  Male Chart
a.  Create a chart that compares the males students Number of Students, Average Age, Oldest Age, and Youngest Age
b.  Type of Chart:  Line with markers
c.  Move Chart Location:  as a new sheet named Male 2
d.  Chart Title:  Comparison of Male Students
e.  Axis Titles - use appropriate titles
f.  Legend - move to bottom
Format Male Chart:  
g. Chart Title - font: your choice, size 16,  color your choice
h. Axis titles - font: your choice, size 14, color your choice
i. Change marker shape to any style (not the default) -size 10-any color (not the default)
j. Change line style-any style-color-weight (not default)


17.  Female Chart
a.  Create a chart that compares the females students Number of Students, Average Age, Oldest Age, and Youngest Age
b.  Type of Chart:  Line with markers
c.  Move Chart Location:  as a new sheet named Female 2
d.  Chart Title:  Comparison of Female Students
e.  Axis Titles - use appropriate titles
f.  Legend - move to bottom
Format Female Chart:  
g. Chart Title - font: your choice, size 16,  color your choice  (different than male)
h. Axis titles - font: your choice, size 14, color your choice  (different than male)
i. Change marker shape to any style (not the default) -size 10-any color (different than male)
j. Change line style-any style-color-weight (different than male)
